CTS continue to support International Needs, and together we believe in the transformative power of education and support.

The latest initiative in Nairobi, Kenya, exemplifies this mission as the charity empowers young people living on the streets, equipping them with the skills they need to become self-reliant and productive members of society.

One of International Needs key programs, led by Grace Empowerment, focuses on providing comprehensive education, leadership training, and business skills to youth who have experienced life on the streets. The halfway house serves as a safe space where these young individuals can access essential resources and develop the tools they need to build a better future.

Take Levi’s story, for example. At just 23, Levi had spent most of his childhood surviving on the streets of Nairobi. But everything changed when he encountered Grace Empowerment. With their support, Levi began a journey of transformation. He started by learning basic health and hygiene skills, which laid the foundation for his personal growth. Through leadership workshops, Levi discovered his potential to inspire and guide others, gaining confidence and a sense of purpose.

Levi’s education didn’t stop there. He acquired vital business skills, learning how to budget, market, and manage customer service. These newfound skills empowered him to start his own second-hand clothes business, which quickly flourished. Today, Levi is not only a successful entrepreneur but also a mentor, inspiring other young people to believe in the possibility of change and a brighter future.

The work in Nairobi is more than just providing immediate relief; it’s about fostering long-term, sustainable development through initiatives like the Leadership and Talent Centre which was recently fenced to secure future livelihoods projects, and committed to creating an environment where young people can thrive.
